Miserable Life

My heart, tread gently, lest you mistake once more
Forsake the loyalty to those unknown.
Your vitality once lost, now restore,
For now, you discern faces once unshown.

Be vigilant, my heart, in love’s sweet game,
Deceive not yourself in this tender plight.
For shattered by sorrow’s ungentle claim,
Yet within you lies the strength for the fight.
